Mad River Brewing is located in the beautiful small town of Blue Lake, CA.

It is a town of only 2800 people and is reached off Hwy. 299, just east from Humboldt County’s largest City, Eureka, and nearby Arcata, home to Humboldt State University.

We love to have visitors come out to the brewery. Here’s a map to the brewery.

You can come for lunch but you'll have to bring your own as we do not have a pub. We do have a retail shop where you can taste our beers and buy apparel and other cool stuff.

We give tours on a drop in basis during our normal retail shop hours. If you are in town for a few days and can be a little flexible we recommend that you call ahead to see when we will be bottling. We think you will enjoy taking a tour of our brewery which has “rustic charm”.

Saturday 12:00 to 4:00pm
